Ioanna Asimakopoulou is not afraid of challenges – neither on stage nor in life. After graduating from the Drama School “Contemporary Theatre of Athens”, she started her career in 2006 and since then she has not stopped evolving. We saw her for the first time in “Deligiannion Parthenagogion” and loved her in “Soi Sou” (Your Family) (2014-2019), a series that became a benchmark.
Successes such as “Throw the Fryer” (2018), “Familia” (2020) and “Save Me” (2023) followed, while building a strong theatrical career. In 2023, she took her most personal step as an actress and for the first time as a creator with “I Am Jo” (ANT1+, Netflix), a series based on her own idea, which shot to the number one spot on Greek Netflix.
Beyond the lights of stage and screen, Ioanna stands beside the women of today, giving voice to what matters. With passion, talent and an unstoppable need to create, she continues to write her own unique journey.
