SymperiliPsy stands by those who need psychotherapy, but do not have the financial means to support it or access to a public facility. The free psychotherapy service is provided to unemployed people, people whose incomes are below the federal poverty threshold, elderly people, migrants, victims of abuse, disabled people and their families and LGBTQIA+ people.

Psychotherapy is provided both face-to-face and online, for those in remote areas or with mobility difficulties. The volunteers, who offer our free psychotherapy services, are certified Psychologists-Psychotherapists, Professional Licensed, or trainees, in University Departments. They work on a voluntary basis, under the supervision of Maria Sgourou, Developmental Psychologist MSc, Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Gestalt Psychotherapist, PhD Candidate at University of Macedonia.

The privacy and confidentiality of our beneficiaries’ data are guaranteed by the European General Data Protection Regulation and the Law Enforcement Directive and by the Code of Ethics for Psychologists.

Free psychotherapy follows specific rules and therapeutic framework, precisely because we are interested in providing effective services.
